Michael
tells traditional tales in a powerful, lively and literary style, that
is entertaining and well researched, embracing a love of language and
strong narrative, which is sometimes scary, often hilarious and usually
both.
Wendy is a singer with a powerful, evocative and distinctive sound, and
a repetoire specially composed, collected and chosen to weave magical
threads of song through the texture of Michael's tales, echoing the seasons
and the landscapes of the natural world and the human soul. We've been
telling together for 16 years.
Quotes:
"Grandiloquent, glamorous, glorious stuff - sheer magic, madness
and mirth -
an evening of dark humour and gristly revelation - a master of comical,
strange and magnificent stories, Michael has long been recognised as one
of
Britain's most articulate, witty and lively storytellers - he will weave
his
dark but glittering tapestry of powerful words and haunting images - this
is
fine, vigorous storytelling, conjuring a magical spell for modern ears."
" I think it tells you that we are in for a fast and furious night
with this
thoroughly dangerous storyteller."
~ storytelling cafe tour, with quotes from Ashley Ramsden, Hugh Lupton
and Graham Langley included!
